Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has donated three brand new motorbikes to the District Police Headquarters, Airport (Airport Police Station) of Ghana Police Service to enhance the station’s operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Speaking at a brief handover ceremony, the Managing Director of GACL, Mrs. Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare, highlighted the critical role of the Police in maintaining security in and around the airport and the industry in general.
She touched on the enduring partnership between the entities and expressed optimism that the motorbikes would support the work of the Airport Police.
Receiving the motorbikes on behalf of the Regional Police Command, Chief Superintendent of Police Mr. John Atanga expressed immense gratitude to GACL for their invaluable support.
He noted that the donation would significantly boost the station’s ability to conduct effective night patrols, which he said, was critical to maintaining safety in and around the airport.
The ceremony, held at the Airport Police Station, was attended by some management and staff of GACL as well as Personnel of the Airport Police Station.
