Pupils of Mpasatia African Faith basic school and Amadu Primary school in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region have had to flee their classrooms on several occasions just to avoid snake bites.
The disturbed pupils who study in the dilapidated classroom block, which has become a deathtrap, said the snakes enter their classrooms from bushes and force them out of their classrooms.
The classroom was constructed by the Chiefs and the residents themselves with the hope of securing an upgrade from the government to enable their wards to access better education, still not seen any improvement indicating that the state of the school keeps getting worse.
According to some residents in the Mpasatia, they have complained several times to the DCE, Hon. Isaac Kofi Marfo, but he turned his back to them.
In an interview with the Assembly member, Hon. Karim Salifu said he has written several appeals to the authorities, especially DCE, Isaac Kofi Marfo, but yet to hear from them.
The residents, together with the Assembly member, are appealing to the Philantropist, NGOs, to come to their aid.
