Lt. Col. Jacob Codjoe, Commanding Officer of Achiase Jungle Warfare School, has issued a stern warning to violent voters in Akyemansa bloc ahead of the 2024 polls in Ghana.
Speaking at a “Peace Concert” organized by the Salvation Army Church in Akyem Oda under the theme; “Seek peace and pursue it” (PSL 34:14), Lt. Col. Codjoe emphasized that the military will not hesitate to take action against anyone who disrupts the peace during the December 7 polls.
He clarified that the military’s role is to intervene when the police are overwhelmed, and their primary objective is to maintain peace and order.
Lt. Col. Codjoe urged voters to respect each other, obey the laws, and prioritize peace during and after the elections.
The Territorial Commander of the Salvation Army Church, Col. Seth Agyei Appeateng, also encouraged Ghanaians to continue promoting peace and avoiding actions that could jeopardize the country’s peaceful atmosphere.
