Dr. Eugene Kumi Arhin, Senior Research Officer at Global Info Analytics, has revealed three (3) key variables that could influence the outcomes of the 2024 elections.
He asserts that this is in line with a survey that Global Info Analytics carried out.
Dr. Eugene Kumi Arhin revealed to Kwaku Mensah Abrampa on the GIFTs FM morning show that the majority of respondents to their survey conducted in advance of the December elections indicated no interest in using religion or tribalism to select Ghana’s next president, preferring to focus on the country’s job market, educational attainment, and overall economic situation.
According to him, the majority of complaints were about the dire economic circumstances that Ghanaians are facing, the dearth of jobs that makes life intolerably difficult, and insufficient educational policies that are lowering the standard of education in the nation.
He pointed out that there were some disparities between the most recent survey, which predicted John Mahama would win the elections with 51.1% of the vote, and the earlier ones.
He explains that the NPP has been negatively impacted by the notable increase in Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar) numbers in the Ashanti and Eastern regions.
He emphasized that the NDC and NPP have a great deal of significance in the upcoming elections, and that they must play their cards right to keep the independent and other party candidates from undermining their chances of winning.
