Economist and statesman, Mr Andrews Kwame Pianim has encouraged President Mahama to retrieve all monies allegedly stolen under former President Akufo-Addo’s administration, but emphasized that the process should be done under the rule of law.
He cautioned against a “rambo-style” approach, instead advocating for investigative and law enforcement institutions to do their work within the bounds of the law.
He emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law and allowing institutions to function independently.
Pianim also criticized the NPP government for the low number of projects constructed during their administration.
He urged the NPP members to allow the law to take its course with officials accused of stealing money during their tenure.
Furthermore, Pianim called on the two major political parties the NPP and NDC to ensure that Ghana continues to enjoy its democracy.
