The Transport Operators Association of Ghana has issued a press release expressing profound disappointment with the current administration’s relentless imposition of hardship on Ghanaian drivers through continuous fuel price hikes. From November to January, fuel prices have alarmingly increased, further burdening hardworking drivers who serve as the backbone of Ghana’s economy.
The Association considers the recent fuel price increment as the outgoing government’s “New Year gift” to Ghanaian drivers, deeming it insensitive and punitive. They believe the outgoing NPP government has failed to prioritize the welfare of ordinary Ghanaians and are relieved that their reign has come to an end.
In their final plea to the President, the Association urges him to sign the Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill into law, demonstrating a commitment to upholding Ghana’s values and moral fabric. As Ghana enters a new chapter, the Transport Operators Association remains committed to serving the public with quality and reliable services, advocating for policies that support growth and well-being.
The statement was signed by Paa Willie, National Chairman of C-DAG.

PRESS RELEASE 06/01/2024
TRANSPORT OPERATORS ASSOCIATION OF GHANA .
TRUE STATE OF TRANSPORT OPERATORS
The Transport Operators Association of Ghana wishes to express our profound disappointment with the current administration’s relentless imposition of hardship on Ghanaian drivers through continuous fuel price hikes.
From November to January, we have witnessed an alarming increase in fuel prices, further burdening the hardworking drivers who serve as the backbone of our economy.
The “New Year gift” from the outgoing government to Ghanaian drivers has been yet another fuel price increment, a move we consider insensitive and punitive. It is evident that the outgoing NPP government has failed to prioritize the welfare of the ordinary Ghanaian.
We thank God that their reign has come to an end, and we pray that the people of Ghana will never again entrust this nation to such self-centered leadership.
In these final days of the administration, we urge the President to redeem a fraction of his tarnished legacy by signing the Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill into law. This would demonstrate at least some commitment to upholding the values and moral fabric of our society.
As we enter a new chapter, Transport Operators remains committed to serving the good people of Ghana with quality and reliable services. We pledge to stand by the interests of drivers and the public, advocating for policies that support the growth and well-being of all.
We wish all Ghanaians a prosperous and hopeful New Year.
