Akim Oda MP Faces Backlash Over “Juju” Comments On NDC’s Election Victory

The people of Akim Oda have expressed their deep disappointment and dismay over recent comments made by their Member of Parliament, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah. In a discussion on Oyerepa TV, Hon. Acquah alleged that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won the recent elections through “black power” or “juju.”

To All Radio Stations,

We, the concerned citizens of Akim Oda, are compelled to express our deep disappointment and dismay at the recent comments made by our Member of Parliament, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, on Oyerepa TV.

During his discussion, Hon. Acquah made an assertion that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won recent elections through “black power” or “juju.” These comments have sparked widespread outrage and ridicule, not only in Akim Oda but across Ghana.

As constituents, we feel embarrassed and disrespected by Hon. Acquah’s remarks. His statements do not reflect the values and principles that our community holds dear. We urge Hon. Acquah to take immediate action to rectify this situation.

We call on Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah to:

1. Issue a Public Apology: to the people of Akim Oda and Ghana at large for his unfortunate comments.

2. Retract His Statement: and clarify that his remarks were misguided and do not represent the views of our community.

3. Recommit to Upholding the Values of Our Community: by promoting respect, tolerance, and inclusivity in his public discourse.

We hope that Hon. Acquah will take our concerns seriously and take prompt action to address this issue. We look forward to his response and to continuing to work together to build a stronger, more respectful community.
