Hon. Kennedy Osei Nyarko, the Member of Parliament for Akim Swedru, has cautioned his constituents against voting “skirt and blouse” in the upcoming December elections.
Speaking at a rally in Akotekrom, following a unity health walk, Hon. Nyarko emphasized the importance of voting for both the NPP’s presidential and parliamentary candidates to ensure a unified government.
He stressed that electing both the presidential and parliamentary candidates is crucial for securing a majority in Parliament and advancing the party’s national development agenda.
Hon. Nyarko attributed the party’s previous parliamentary election loss to disunity and appealed to supporters to vote for both the parliamentary and presidential candidates.
He warned that voting for the NDC could lead to the cancellation of the Free SHS policy and a potential reduction in cocoa prices.
Meanwhile, Mr. Dominic Fobi, the NPP Chairman of the Akim Swedru Constituency, pledged 80% votes for the party’s presidential and parliamentary candidates.
He expressed confidence in the NPP’s policies and their ability to benefit Ghanaians, unlike the opposition.
