In the case of a dispute on Danchira land, the Four family of Danchira in the Greater Accra Region has denied that the court had ruled in favor of J.F.K.A. Company Limited and Nii Tackie Amoah Vi.
The Four Family claims that the court has yet to render its verdict in a matter involving their perpetual dispute with J. F.K.A. Company Limited and Nii Tackie Amoah Vi regarding the Danchira lands.
According to the Four Family, the presiding judge ordered them and their lawyers to formally write to the lawyers of the opposing family (J. F.K.A. Company Limited and Nii Tackie Amoah Vi) outlining their demands from the court during their most recent court appearance.
The judge then rescheduled the case for both parties should appear in court at a later date.
However, immediately following the court’s decision-making, the opposing family (J.F.K.A. Company Limited and Nii Tackie Amoah Vi) celebrated by heading to town wearing printed T-shirts declaring that the court had decided in their favor.
It’s never true that the court has a ruling, the Four Family said, emphasizing that the court did not decide on the opposing side in any way. Both of them will show up in court at an ulterior date to wrap up the case hearing.
They asked the public to ignore the misleading information that Nii Tackie Amoah Vi and J.F.K.A. Company Limited are circulating because the case is still proceeding.
Background
The Nii Tackie Amoah Vi and F.K.A. Company Limited intends to use all means to wrest the land from the FOUR FAMILY.
The Four family were acknowledged as the land’s owners following the Supreme Court’s 2016 ruling, which they asserted was the result of a lawsuit filed by Nii Tackie Amoah Vi and J.F.K.A. Company Limited against them.
But Nii Tackie Amoah Vi and J.F.K.A. Company Limited refused to accept the Supreme Court’s ruling, and they then went for appeal and lost the case again.
Therefore, the Four Family has prevailed in all of its legal battles, which were fought in the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal.
Despite, the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal ruling, Nii Tackie Amoah Vi and J.F.K.A. Company Limited has taken the same case to the human rights court.
Where the human rights court overturned the supreme court’s ruling which was in favour of the FOUR FAMIL.
The FOUR FAMILY is unhappy about information that seems to be pointing to an overruling by the human rights court against them.
The family went on to say they would keep using the legal system to corporately prevent their lands.
The family claims that they do not wish to use violent means to reclaim their lands, and they are requesting that the Attorney General, Chief Justice, and President of the Republic of Ghana intervene and settle the dispute.
