Residents of Abira, Ataase, Amakye-Bare and Akyena, a farming communities in the Atwima Nwabiagya North Municipality of the Ashanti Region, have appealed to the government to provide them with basic social amenities.
Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency, which is one of the largest municipalities in the Ashanti Region, has most of its towns lacking development as they keep on complaining. The Municipal has Barekese as its capital.
In an interview with Asona Dehyie Kwateng, residents complained about the lack of basic facilities such as a permanent potable water, Road, toilet facilities and network among others.
The National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate for Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency, Hon Mba Zechariah, accused the government for not helping them.
Speaking after donating Five thousand Ghana Cedis, Party T-shirts, Umbrellas, Cenment, Caps, Cutlass and Wellington boots to Ataase, Abira, Akyena, Amakye-Bare and Mfensi, the nation cannot leave it’s destiny in the hands of the Dr. Bawumia.
However, NDC Director of Communications Obuobia Darko-Opoku asserted that Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is an “incompetent leader, who lacks vision, cannot take responsibility and has no credibility rendering him unqualified to lead Ghana.
